Managing Change: My CWA
The Charity
MY CWA is a Cheshire-based charity supporting families affected by domestic abuse, and who, along with many third sector organisations have faced unpredictable challenges during and since the pandemic.
We began this journey together through my 121 coaching of the Executive Team members, supporting them to be their very best. These executive roles in growing charities can bring real challenges, so we worked together to overcome them to avoid becoming overwhelmed or burnout.
The Changing Landscape
During Covid, the charity found themselves dealing with a huge amount of change as they switched from a fully face-to-face service to a fully remote one. They wanted to bring their team together and ensure their wellbeing during this tumultuous time. Working with the whole team I supported them to share knowledge and explore ideas about how to manage change, set goals and be more solutions-focused to improve their resilience.
Post-Covid, the charity faced different challenges - a much tighter funding landscape, attracting and retaining talent, and changes in trustee leadership. Using my expertise in facilitation, I designed and delivered an organisation-wide Away Day to facilitate a conversation involving all staff and the Board to plan the charity’s transformational journey in response to the post-Covid landscape.
The Impact of working together
Staff feel valued and invested in having been heard and looked after, resulting in higher staff retention and a happy and healthier workforce.
Improved relationships between Board Trustees, the senior team and staff resulting in greater collaboration and financial efficiencies
Leaders equipped and confident to take the organisation through change.
